Catchlight Video Solutions offers a wide range of professional production services, from concept to completion. Each production is comprised of three main phases: pre-production, production, and post-production.
Pre-production Effective video doesn’t happen accidentally. It is thought out, planned, and pre-visualized. We work with you to come up with a plan that best maximizes your time and ours, to accomplish the highest production value for your budget. Depending on the budget, pre-production services will include: production consultation, scripting, budgeting, story boarding, scheduling, casting, location scouting, crew assembly, and equipment preparation. Production During the production phase, or as we call it “the shoot”, we implement the plan from pre-production. During principal photography we transform the vision into moving images and sound. Production includes the massively creative and physical task of capturing the story including directing, cinematography, lighting, gripping, etc. Post-production Once we have the finished shooting, or have the production "in the can”, we begin the next phase of the process called post-production. This involves transferring the footage into one of our state-of-the-art editing suites, editing the Rough Cut, desiging the sound, adding the music, additional dialogue recording (ADR), voice over (VO) recording, adding graphics, titling, crediting, colour correction, sound mixing, compression and outputting your video. We can export your video into any format you can imagine, from iPhone, to web, to HDTV, to 2K Cinema for transfer to 35mm film. |
